Depending on its use, between 200 and 400 different products go into the manufacturing of a tire. This can represent up to more than 200 L of crude oil, steel, nylon, kevlar, carbon black, as well as several allergenic and polluting additives.
When a tire becomes unusable, it often ends up in a recycling center where it will be processed for further processing. It will then be used in the manufacture of rubber mats, new asphalt roofing processes and other various products.
Founded by Toby Tremblay, Giant Tire Repair is a company specializing in tire repair for the mining industry, serving various sectors of activity, including industry, agriculture, and transportation.
With over 25 years of experience, Toby was practically born into a tire, following in his father’s footsteps. As a service man, Toby perfected his repair skills in the early 2000s.
